Applying For A Position At Jordans
This overview will help you understand Jordan's online job search, from the time you submit your application to the selection of the most qualified candidate.
Potential Candidate Completes an Application Online
If you see a job opportunity that interests you, you can apply for that position by submitting your application/resume via our online job board.
The Application is Entered in Jordan's Candidate Database
You will receive an email stating that we have received your application. Applications are kept in the Jordan's database for up to one year and are sorted and matched to various positions in addition to the one you specifically applied for.
Jordan's Recruiter Searches the Database
Recruiters are assigned to fill a particular position. They search our database for applications /resumes that meet the qualifications for the open position.
Recruiter Identifies the Best Matching Applications
The Jordan's recruiter reviews the applications/resumes in detail to see which ones best meet the criteria of the position. This process may take a few weeks.
If after reviewing your application, the recruiter determines you are a good match for the job you applied for, you will be scheduled for a telephone or face-to-face interview. The candidates will usually have multiple interviews with different members of the hiring team. All members of the hiring team provide input towards a final decision.
If after reviewing your application, the recruiter determines you are not a good match for the job you applied for, your application/resume will continue to be included in all searches going forward within the next year.
The Recruiter Contacts the Selected Candidate
The Jordan's recruiter will contact the candidate who best meets the requirements of the position and offer them the job. A written offer letter that includes information such as start date, work location, and salary follows the telephone offer. If the candidate declines the position, the recruiter may then offer it to the next most qualified applicant.
